nonpolar attraction?

[edit]

This is the first sentence of the second paragraph of the "Mechanics" section:

"As discussed in the Structure and organization section, the hydrophobic attraction of lipid tails in water is the primary force holding lipid bilayers together."

I am not qualified to edit this, but I have spent the day studying the hydrophobic effect and my understanding is that there are no attractive forces driving it. Could someone more knowledgeable fix this if it's wrong? 100.14.196.129 (talk) 22:02, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

GA concerns

I am concerned that this article no longer meets the good article criteria due to several uncited statements, including entire paragraphs. Is anyone interested in addressing this concern? Z1720 (talk) 00:49, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
